Hunger is a global problem that gnaws away at the fibre of most societies and various initiatives have been formed to address this growing problem.

One of these global initiatives is the Food for Life, which was founded in the 70’s and has spread its wings in thousands of communities, with millions of people receiving a plate of food every day.

Closer to home, the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) Estcourt members host the Food for Life projects, travelling far and wide to distribute hot vegetarian meals to deserving and underprivileged communities. From crèches to halls, community events and social functions, the Food for Life team has been making their presence felt as an entity that strives for a hunger free society.

However, the success of the Food for Life projects depends heavily on the generosity of locals. Your donations are required to make the feeding schemes possible and residents are called on to support this initiative.
