Paediatric Ward benefit from Pick n Pay’s generosity

As part of Pick n Pay’s 48th birthday celebrations, staff at Newcastle Mall continued festivities on Mandela Day.

Little patients in the Paediatric Ward at Newcastle Provincial Hospital were treated to a party in memory of Madiba, and received nutritious fruit and yogurt.

Puzzles, colouring books and crayons were also donated to the little ones to keep the long days of boredom at bay and lighten up their lives.

The children’s happy faces told their own story of sheer delight, and warmed the hearts of their benefactors.

The children and hospital thanked Pick n Pay regional manager, Donald Mazibuko, Mr Buthelezi and all who assisted on the day to put a smile on the faces of the little ones.
