Vryheid Landbou High School – Lots going on at Landbou

LANDBOU would like to welcome back all learners and educators for the start of the third term.

At the end of the last term learners of Landbou School took part in Land Service camp that was held from June 27. We would also like to congratulate Thalente Khumalo (Gr 10) and Mr L Mathenjwa who were invited to go to Nationals for Land Service.

During the holidays the Grade 12 learners took part in the Winter School. We would like to thank the learners and teachers who took part in making the Winter School possible. The school also had its annual camp for Grade 11 learners. Thank you to all the staff that made this fruitful camp possible.

The school would also like to welcome the phenomenal Miss Sebabatso Thulo, a former head girl who is doing her practical teaching at our school. We are glad to have her back on home soil.

Some interesting events that took place this week included Landbou having Blood Bank on Thursday, July 23. We would like to express our sincere thanks to all learners and educators that took part in the blood drive in saving someone’s life by donating blood.

Landbou also had a visit from two exchange students from Germany on Thursday. It was a great experience for them and us to have them here.

Landbou participated in the Northern Natal Choir Concert on Thursday night at Vryheid High. We want to congratulate all the choirs, and especially the Northern Natal Youth Choir, on the lovely night filled with beautiful choir music. We want to thank the Northern Natal Choir for inviting us to this special concert.

Our yearly Matric Farewell was held on Friday, July 24. We would like to say a word of thanks to all those who took part in making such a magical night possible. It was truly a night to remember and our Matrics looked stunning in their beautiful dresses and smart suits.
