An accused in a shoplifting case recently received a stiff sentence in the Ezakheni Magistrate’s Court.
On June 2, a 20-year-old man was caught stealing a pair of takkies valued at R140 from a clothing store in Ezakheni.
The man was arrested and brought before court.
He was found guilty of shoplifting and sentenced to two years’ imprisonment.
He was also declared unfit to possess a firearm.
