Thieves strike in broad daylight

A black and red Kazuma Cheetah 200 motorcycle was stolen from an Ingagane resident’s yard this morning, shortly after 9.30am.

“When I got to my dad’s place in Sixth Street, I noticed the gates were open. They had been locked during the night and it seemed as if the lock was forced open,” said Wayne Harmon, the owner of the motorcycle.

Upon checking the property, it was discovered the motorcycle was missing and Mr Harmon speculated the theft was planned.

“The motorcycle was parked under the side garage and someone must have been watching my father’s house.”

While a case has been opened, Mr Harmon is distraught about the theft.

“The bike is basically brand new. I bought it in 2013 and it has about 1200km on the clock.”

Mr Harmon has encouraged any witnesses to step forward and to report what they saw to the police.
