Gold, silver and bronze for DJS’s expo team
The DJS motto, 'hard work brings success', once again paid off for these learners!

Around the world in 120 minutes, the Grade four and seven learners moved around the world and made wonderful new memories.
DJS bedank die volgende ouers vir hulle harde werk gedurende die konsert. Carlien Grobler, Maureen du Toit, Celeste van Dyk, Sheena Pillay, Sikhulile Nzimande, Olivia Kruger, Elmarie Joubert, Maghoo, Mrs Glyne, Marlene Kriel van Finesse, Mev Burger, Martie Pretorius, Monique van der Walt, Mnr en Mev K Snyman van The Oval en Kerin Ferreira een van DJS se oudskoliere. Dankie dat julle deel was van die Bon Voyage DJS span. EXPO: Vrydag die 31ste Julie 2015 het 28 Dundee Juniorskool leerders gaan deelneem aan die Eskom EXPO for Young Scientists. Na ‘n lang dag het ons 19 pryse verower.
Goue Medaljes: Susan Gregory en Heinrich Grobler: Bloukraanvoëls op hul laaste bene. Emily Joubert en Inneke Labuschagne: Verbeterde Solar Geyser. Dian Bierbaum: Suikerinhoud aanduidings. Silwer Medaljes: Isak Müller, Hein Müller, Tshidiso Basson, Noluthhando Ndaba, Sejal Mughoo, Hayley Wentzel en Chantelise Gerlach. Bronze medals: Njabulo Duma, Katelyn Uchee, Sinothando Duma, Wi-Né Husselman, Rihané Kruger and Ashish Sukram.
Raquel Thompson received a “Highly Recommended”. The DJS motto, ‘hard work brings success’, once again paid off for these learners!
DJS Sport: Soccer U/11 and U/13
The U/11 and U/13 had their first tournament on Thursday August 13 at Drakensberg in Newcastle. The U/13 lost all 3 games and the U/11 drew 1 and won 2.
The boys played well and we are looking forward to the rest of the season. Cricket: The U/11 cricket boys had a good inning against Egerton. They bowled first and Egerton managed to get a total of 50 runs. DJS’s best bowlers were Nzuzo (4 – 4) and Hein (4 – 8). DJS’s opening batsmen (Zaakir and Zaheer) managed a partnership of 47 runs, with Reynier coming in to hit the winning runs. We won by 9 wickets.
The U/13 cricket boys played against Egerton.
Unfortunately they lost the match but the game was played in a good spirit. DJS is looking forward to the rest of the season.
CMC Cross Country: The CMC Cross Country Championships was hosted by Dundee Junior on August 12.
The athletes enjoyed the running and 14 of them qualified to participate on August 15 in Greytown at the Umzinyathi District Championships.
