Two suspects aged 21 and 22 appeared before the Estcourt Magistrates Court last Tuesday, August 18 on charges of assault with the intent to do grievous bodily harm (GBH).

On August 8 at about 10pm the victim was at a store when he was attacked by five males, whom he had an altercation with previously.

The five males allegedly assaulted him as well as stabbed him.

“The victim sustained injuries on his head and was taken to the local clinic for medical attention,” said police spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel TM Mabaso.

After a case was opened at the Amangwe Police Station, an investigation began, which resulted in two suspects being arrested.
