On Friday, August 21 Estcourt Senior Secondary School hosted their annual excellence awards ceremony at the school hall.

Gracing this occasion was Mr B.P Ngozo, the Senior Education Specialist from UThukela District Psycho-social services section, as well as Dr ATM Gwala (PhD), who delivered an inspiring keynote address.

The Principal, Mr Vilakazi accompanied by Dr Gwala and Mr Ngozo congratulated both educator and learner awardees who received trophies and certificates of excellence in recognition of their performance in various categories.

This years’ Dux award was awarded to a grade 12 learner, Senzelumusa Sithole.

He received a sum of R1 000, which was sponsored by Mr S Mweli including an iPad, which was sponsored by the District’s SES Mr B.P Ngzozo. The school would like to thank all attendees for contributing to the success of the ceremony.
