Water-shedding is in effect

Due to the current drought, uThukela District Municipality has introduced a water-shedding schedule for Ladysmith.

Water will be turned off in the following areas: Ladysmith CBD, Observation Hill, Umkhamba Gardens, Modelkloof, Limit Hill, Danskraal Industrial, parts of St Chad’s and parts of Steadville.

Water cuts will be implemented from 10am to 4pm during the day and from 8pm to 4am at night. These areas will be restricted to 6 hours of water supply during the morning and evening.

Water tankers will be sent to the affected areas.

In an SMS sent to residents, uThukela officials have apologised for any inconvenience.
