Rocketing temperatures send residents scurrying for cover
Expect no relief from the heat until late next week...

The temperature in Dundee yesterday touched on 36 degrees according to official records. In Pomeroy, a reader measured a reading of over 42 degrees.
The heatwave, that has been compounded by the prolonged drought, has added to the misery of residents who have already have to cope with daily water cuts.
And the heat is not going to relent. A temperature of 31 is expected on Friday, 35 on Saturday and high temperatures are expected to continue until late next week.
Cooler weather is expected on Friday – the day Talana Live starts – with a cool 18 degrees predicted. Fine weather with a high of 23 degrees is expected on Saturday, October 19.
In the meantime, keep hydrated and out of the blazing sun…..
