ZHANIQUE Eckersley travelled to New York, America, during the holiday and returned on Friday, October 16. She was selected by the Travel and Sport Agency as one of the academic top ten achievers who qualified to go on this tour.
The purpose of this tour was to visit top universities such as Harvard, Yale and Princeton, where they attended private lectures and were taken sight-seeing. She returned more informed about possibilities for further studies and enriched by new friendships and a cultural growth.
On Wednesday, October 14, VHS hosted this term’s blood donation clinic. With the efficient management of the new “Blood Drops” team, the process went smoothly and more than 120 units were donated.
Many lives were saved by these donations making every learner who donated a hero! Thank you VHS learners for your generous contributions which make VHS one of the best schools in KZN regarding numbers of donations per clinic.
The Grade 12 learners had their last official assembly on Friday, October 16. Upholding a new tradition this was a special assembly as the parents were invited to attend with their children and special messages were delivered. The LCO choir also sang.
We wish the Grade 12’s all the best with the upcoming NCS examinations. May you achieve the success you deserve!
