Roosboom residents keep wasting water!

Must uThukela cut water to Roosboom?

Reports filter in on an almost daily basis that residents of Roosboom leave taps open without any thought to water wastage.

“Maybe it is time they got cut off like the rest of town,” complained one angry resident who drives past every day (and who asked not to be named). “I see running taps everywhere, every morning and afternoon.”

Local residents are outraged by water wastage in Roosboom.

Another resident had this to say on Facebook:

“While travelling along the roads past Roosboom, the attached photo was taken of an open tap with water streaming out of it, unattended, and NOT one person in sight!”

“So we had to stop and close the tap?” says Lizelle Bester Pretorius.

“Everyone is so fast to complain that they do not have water, but if they do have water, it gets wasted! Who will be receiving the fine on this if we are not even allowed to water our gardens? Someone actually needs to close that tap permanently! Luckily the goats have plenty of water now…”
