The sound of a drum beating and singing voices welcomed Uelzen School’s Governing Body members and spouses, parents and the Grade 7s to a truly memorable farewell with an authentic African feel.
Elephants peering through thorn trees, black pots simmering over a fire, traditional dancing and even our Joseph clad in warrior regalia set the tone for what was a truly memorable Ndlelanhle. Mrs Malan could not believe the transformation of her little Grade Ones into the lovely, young ladies and handsome teenagers who greeted her.
A delicious selection of snacks arranged on wooden platters, great music, an exchange of thoughtful gifts and much dancing and chatter provided a special time for all.
It truly was the perfect way to thank our Grade 7s for their leadership and contribution to Uelzen and to wish them well on their way to high school.
