Football keeps kids fit and busy as holidays loom

Local football legend, Riaz Adam, is giving back to the youngsters by organising local football tournaments at Kallies Stadium.
The first one was held last Wednesday evening. Several teams took part including boys from the Ball Busters Club, the local Madressa and teams from Sibongile.

While the field was not in particular good shape the lads made the best of it with Riaz and several parents doing all the encouraging from the sidelines.

 
A top goalkeeper in his time and the winner of a medal to honour his achievements in the past, Riaz loves nothing more than spending time on the field assisting the local children.

He even gave Ismail, a blind boy, a chance to play a game and kick the ball – with Riaz holding his hand!
