Walter bags squash crown
Thank you to the staff of the DCC for the wonderful supper provided to round off a super year-end function.
The Squash Club held a double prize-giving on Monday with the conclusion of both the Afritan League and the 36th Annual Spar Squash Championships.
Walter du Plessis was crowned 2015 squash champion with Sifiso Kunene second. Kevin Donaldson and Morne Mare with third and fourth respectively.
Nozipho Mlotshwa took the ladies honours with Natasha du Plessis runner-up.
The club thanks George Adalis from Spar for his generous sponsorship of the Championships.
The Afritan League was won by Sifiso Kunene and team with Zwane Qwabe’s team second. Thanks to Hanno van der Berg of Afritan for the sponsorship.
Graham Peddie, club chairman, paid tribute to stalwart Willie Lemmer, who has played in all 36 club championships, for his coaching and mentoring. Willie is leaving Dundee.
