Follow our top five tips to have a hassle-free back to school.

Getting your child back into a school routine is difficult after such a long holiday, but it’s not impossible.
Follow our top 5 tips on how to get your child back into a healthy routine for when school starts.
1. Reinforce a sleep routine:
Children fall out of a sleeping routine very quickly, and often it’s difficult to get them back on track. Get a fixed time for your young one to be in bed, and soon enough they will get used to it again.

2. Less TV time:
Take back the remote control. Children tend to watch more television when they are on school holidays. Create set times they are allowed to watch Tv. For the rest of the day, make them do school work or other tasks to get their brains stimulated for when school begins.

3. Early mornings:
No more late morning lie-ins! It is very important they get back into early morning routine. After all, their minds need to be refreshed for the day ahead.

4. Putting out their clothes:
Have your children put out the next day’s outfit every night. Remind them it needs to be neat and tidy. You don’t want your child going to school looking like he just fell out the laundry basket.

5. Lunch routine:
As a parent, this is your job. Being on holiday meant you did not have to make and pack lunch boxes over the last few weeks. Get yourself back into this routine by making sandwiches for your children in the morning when you wake up.
