Those back-to-school blues
Some parents even let a few tears roll down their cheeks as they left their little ones in the capable hands of a teacher

Today (Wednesday) is back to school for the children of Ladysmith. Many were returning to school, while for others it was their first time.
Some of the little ones were in tears and clinging onto their mums and dads, while others seemed excited in their new environment and were eager to make new friends. The educators played their part in the process by soothing those who were crying and making sure everyone was comfortable in the classroom.
Activities to help the children ‘acclimatise’ included playing with blocks and colouring in, as well as mingling with one another.
Some parents even let a few tears roll down their cheeks as they left their little ones in the capable hands of a teacher. Most children soon adapted to their new schooling enviroment as the day went on.
Another year of productive schooling has begun!
