With an effervescent personality and warm smile, Zamandwane Ndima is sure to be a favoured paediatrician once she completes her Bachelor of Medicine at the University of Cape Town.

The 18-year-old from Estcourt High School was placed second in the Estcourt circuit after she received an astounding seven distinctions in the 2015 National Senior Certificate Examinations.

Zama received A symbols for geography, mathematics, life sciences, English, physical sciences, isiZulu and life orientation.
With these excellent results, she is keen to pursue her studies in medicine and says that qualifying as a paediatrician would be a dream come true, seeing that she adores working with children.

Zama’s advice to 2016’s grade 12 is simple.

“Start studying as early as possible, never spend a day without studying,” she said. She also recommends a healthy diet, exercise, sufficient intake of water and sleep to keep a balanced lifestyle.
