#RIPSnape: Legendary Alan Rickman passes away
Alan Rickman, man, legend, actor... thank you for the memories.
Alan Rickman, a man of extraordinary talent, passed away today at the age of 69.
Most commonly remembered as the tragic anti-hero, Severus Snape, from the Harry Potter franchise, and as the villainous sheriff of Nottingham from Robin Hood Prince of Thieves, Alan Rickman succumbed to cancer, leaving a void in the cinematic world.
Mr Rickman first shot to fame in Die Hard, where he portrayed Hans Gruber, a dastardly fiend who Bruce Willis had to vanquish.
Since then, he became an iconic figure with his dry, witty humour, captivating fans through his long list of movies which included Truly Madly Deeply; Love, Actually and Dogma.
A man of pure talent, Mr Rickman’s death marks a sad day in many people’s lives and his memory will live forever in the hearts of his fans.
