Colenso shooting may be linked to taxi war?

They were gunned down in a drive-by shooting

Just after 7am this morning, two men were on the road just outside Colenso when a vehicle allegedly drove past with an unknown number of occupants. They opened fire, gunning down both men in a hail of bullets.

The drive-by shooting has sent shockwaves through not just the Colenso community, but those linked to the various clans in the ongoing taxi war that has plagued eZakheni. One of the men survived the shooting, although he is in a critical condition.

He was rushed to a nearby hospital by EMRS.

The K9 Unit and Colenso police  are currently hunting down the killers.

The dead victim has been described as an elderly man.

This story will be updated as soon we have an official police press release.
