Competition at Time Trials heats up with massive field
Please note that Time Trials takes place every Wednesday at 17:20 in front of the Dundee Junior School on Excelsior Lane.
In the 2km run, Alex cruised in with a time of 10m56s with coach, ‘M3’ Rikesh. In the 3km walk event, Catherine smashed her PB in a time of 15m01s.
The 4km ladies run was won by Tobeka Mbatha in a time of 19m08s.
In the men’s 4km run, Khetha Mnchunu won the event in an excellent time of 17m28s, followed by Reggie Nkosi – 21m35s and Sandile Lamula – 26m08s.
The 8km ladies event was won by Nicky Williams in a fast time of 44m56s.
The 8km men’s event was the star attraction of the day with fierce competition in a top field. Bongani Sabelo won the event in a phenomenal time of 30m08s, followed by Lindani Sangweni – 31m29s and ‘Mighty Joe’ Khumalo – 33m02s.
