Newcomers scoop bowls pairs trophy

Bowls Club competitions back in full swing. The Club Drawn Pairs was a successful and most enjoyable weekend.

 
The winners were: Tewie Wessels and Louis de Jager, second Sylvia Malan and Hans Vreken, third Brian Taylor and Frans Joubert. Especially, well done to Tewie, who after a long recovery is back on the greens – he hasn’t lost his touch and Louis on winning his first club competition. Well done to all newcomers.

 
Business League
The Electrical Centre Business League gets underway on Thursday at 5.30pm. The competition was over-subscribed. Pay your entry early, if you snooze you lose. Don’t miss out next time round! If you are not playing, you are welcome to bring your basket and braai thereafter.

 
KZNCB Bowls
The Northerns Mixed Pairs will be played in Dundee on February 6 to 7. See notice board. The KZNCB Open Masters will be played in Newcastle this weekend. Good bowling to Nan. She has again been invited to play in the SA Masters at The Wanderers Club in Johannesburg, February 12 to 14.

Dundee Bowling Club offers facilities for functions and is fully licensed. Potential new bowlers wanting to play to contact Sylvia 081 046 8140 or Nan 082 446 9916. Friday sunset bowls from 3.30pm onwards. All welcome to join.
