Tributes pour in for ‘golden hearted’ Zayne Milne
A keen golfer - a man with wit and a ready smile...
Tributes are pouring in for one of Dundee’s much-loved ‘characters’, Zayne Milne (39), who passed away suddenly in his home on Douglas Street.
Tenants who rent outside flats on the property found Zayne’s body in his room on Wednesday evening. He is believed to have suffered a fatal heart attack.
Zayne was an enthusiastic golfer and was known for his bright wit, infectious laugh while the Courier knew him for hating to having his photograph taken – especially at the golf club! He was also keen to pass on golfing tips and helped many out.
He was often seen walking in the central business district with a bag slung over his shoulder, always stopping to chat to passers-by and shopkeepers. For years, he battled with a back complaint but always was ready with a smile, a laugh or a bit of dry wit. Condolences to aunt, Linda, sister, Canelle, the family and his many friends and golfing partners.
Tributes posted on Facebook include:
Jacolene Hattingh: R.I.P. Zayne. You’re flying high with the angels now. You will be sorely missed my friend. A golden heart stopped beating. My thoughts & prayers are with his family & loved ones.
Dean Johnstone: RIP Zayne.
