Cat run over (again and again) and left to rot

The poor feline was hit by a vehicle sometime on Monday night and the carcass has just been left there in the road

Residents have been complaining after a cat was run over in Hyde Road earlier this week.

The poor feline was hit by a vehicle sometime on Monday night and the carcass has just been left there in the road. Municipal workers have not removed it.

Residents are wondering if this reflects an attitude of no respect for an animal’s life, just leaving it there for more and more vehicles to drive over and squash so that the cat’s remains become a part of the road itself.

The carcass, or what’s left of it (only the fur is left), is starting to smell badly and this is also of concern to nearby residents.
