THE monthly Cash and Carry Competition was played on Saturday.
Although it was very hot we had an excellent turn out. Thank you once again to Eddie Louie for the sponsorship. There were two teams who tied for a win: Benita Wessels and Willie Van Jaarsveld, as well as Wykie Craig and Hannes Kriel. Well done and well played in the heat.
Our weekly Sundowners Competition is running well and almost coming to a close. Thanks to all the players who are supporting this. Unfortunately, due to the drought, our greens are not looking too good but thanks to Thys, who is doing a great job in trying to keep them up to standard. It is not easy.
The Business League is coming up in March and we need Skips. Please put your names on the board or give them to Estelle. We are hoping for 14 teams to take part and Trevor is working very hard towards this goal.
Next weekend is the Northern Mixed Pairs Competition held in Dundee. Please enter these competitions, it is really good bowling.
Well done to our three players who took part in the Masters in Newcastle last weekend. It is a prestige to be invited to this and they all kept our flag flying very high.
