Women march in support of virgin bursaries

The march started at Settlers Park and ended at the Town Hall

This after uThukela Mayor Dudu Mazibuko granted 16 virgins bursaries to study at university. Ladysmith made news headlines worldwide as a result.

The march started at Settlers Park and ended at the Town Hall, where a memorandum was handed over to municipal officials.

“We are definitely happy about the virgin bursaries, as this is a feather in the cap of every woman,” said one of the marchers.
