Brigadier determined to prevent crime
Ever since he was a young boy, he dreamed of becoming a police officer

Every man has a calling, and Brigadier Johan Reynders’ is to fight crime and make sure justice is served to the letter.
Brigadier Reynders is the new acting Cluster Commander of the Uthukela Cluster. Born in the Eastern Cape in a town called Lady Grey, he has been in the police service for nearly 40 years now.
Ever since he was a young boy, he dreamed of becoming a police officer.
He is married and has been blessed with two children and three grandchildren.
Brigadier Reynders is determined to serve the community and prevent crime as he runs 16 police stations in the Uthukela Cluster. Being a Cluster Commander involves command and control surrounding aspects of crime prevention, investigation of crime, crime intelligence, support structures, and inspections. His greatest passion is making sure the working conditions of the officers are improved and that the psychological well-being of the officers on the ground is taken care of.
“I am always available to assist the community, whether it is day or night. Preventing crime is and always will be my main priority,” he says.
