Desperate times call for desperate ‘downloading’ measures
When free wifi is available, some will do whatever it takes to capitalise
A few young men were spotted outside the Engen Wimpy premises in Murchison Street over the weekend, ostensibly just leaning on the park fence and chatting to each other.
But was there a more sinister reason for being in that particular spot? And why were the cell-phones out, the buttons being constantly and furiously pressed?
Could the fact that Wimpy is a ‘Free Wifi’ zone have anything to do with it?
A Wimpy customer who stood up to play with her child observed the youngsters hanging around in the ‘Free Wifi’ zone and put two and two together.
It is unclear how long they had been standing there for and using the ‘Wimpy Wifi’.
However, the moral of the story is: When free Wifi is available, some will do whatever it takes to capitalise and do some ‘much-needed’ downloading.
That is, until they are spotted and chased away for not being paying customers!
