IFP disgusted with uThukela
uThukela planted palm tree branches to hold up their barrier tape

Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) councillor Abbas Warasally has been inundated with calls from Bengal Road residents informing him that uThukela has planted palm trees in the middle of their street.
On arriving in Bengal Road, Cllr Warasally found that uThukela had repaired a burst pipe in the middle of the road. On completion, they covered the hole and planted palm tree branches to hold up their barrier tape.
Cllr Warasally is disgusted that, in some instances, uThukela workers leave large potholes that are not cordoned off in some places where they have worked.
Now they have resorted to using tree branches in the middle of the road instead of proper signage.
“Can uThukela not afford to purchase proper road signage?” asks Cllr Warasally.
