Where to collect water at no cost

The Klipkerk and the Mason Street borehole remain the only two places where residents can collect water at no cost.
Despite water supply to the town being completely cut off last week, most the 27 water tanks intended to ensure that everybody has access to water, remain in storage.
The tanks have not yet been put up at strategic points in town, as promised, due to the fact that the municipality has not yet acquired the steel structures that the tanks must be fitted onto.
Finding suitable locations for the water tanks and willing hands to assist with water distribution at each site is also proving to be a challenge.
Residents who are able to volunteer in this regard are urged to contact Cllr Harry Heyns on 082 800 3030.
