Shave, spray or donate; be part of Shavathon 2016
Funds raised at Shavathon events help CANSA continue its care and support programmes to those affected by cancer.
The countdown to Shavathon 2016 has begun – This is your opportunity to show support and care to cancer survivors and those affected by cancer.
A chance to step into their shoes for just a moment by shaving your hair, or to raise awareness of the difficulties they face while fighting cancer, with your bright, funky hairdo!
Funds raised at Shavathon events help CANSA continue its care and support programmes to those affected by cancer.
The funds assist in providing educational materials with information on how to reduce cancer risks as well as access to early detection of cancer via cancer screening programmes.
CANSA has more than 30 CANSA Care Centres, which offer support in many forms to patients, their families and those affected by the disease.
The main Shavathons will be held at Newcastle Mall on Saturday, March 12 and at Amajuba Mall on Saturday, March 19.
Be sure to show your support to cancer patients by making your way down to these malls and to either shave or spray your hair or alternatively donate to the cause.
