The mayor’s office is determined to make a difference in the lives of Newcastle’s children.
Last Thursday, February 25, they donated 25 school uniforms to children from disadvantaged backgrounds.

“The mayor’s office has been making similar donations for some time. Last year, it made a donation to Chelmsford Combined School. This year, it was decided that instead of focusing one specific school, children from around Newcastle would benefit,” explained Thulile Maphanga from the Municipality Communications Department.
However, she said the donation would not have been possible without the assistance of Moolas, the Scholars Choice management team.
“The Mayor really appreciates their support, as well as other private businesses who always support him when he contacts them,” Ms Maphanga concluded.
