The Pro Shop opens in Dundee

This past Saturday saw 62 keen golfers taking part in the Glencoe Primary School golf day.
An event organised by teacher and netball coach M Ackerman to raise funds for her netball team to go on tour.
Winning the betterball stableford competition was the pairing of R Khumalo and S Lamula with 48 points.
Gene Robson, who shot an excellent round of one over par 72 and his partner Churchill Mpanga came in second with 47 points, managing to count out the pairing of J Zulu and S Mkaliphi who also finished with 47 points.
Lionel Shawe and Marc Bradbury scored 46 points to finish in forth position. Both Gene Robson and Lionel Shawe recorded two 2 Clubs on the day, with B Francis, J Zulu and M Sithole each recording one a piece to have a share in the prize money.
This coming Saturday, March 5, sees the official opening of The Pro Shop and the format of the sponsored day is a 4 Ball Alliance with a scramble drive.
Players will also be welcome to a 10% discount on any item purchased on the day. Golfers are reminded that the Battlefields Easter Tournament, incorporating The Dundee Open 36 holes stroke play is only a month away, March 25 – 27, and entry forms are available from The Pro Shop.
