Business robbery and theft cases on the rise

No arrests have been made for all cases.

Businesses were also targeted after a tuck shop in the Kunene Area was robbed of R6 000 worth of cigarettes.

On February 18, a woman’s cellphone was stolen from her handbag while she was travelling on a bus from Peacevale. A Vodacom Smart Tab cellphone to the value of R1 650 was stolen.

On February 22, a man was held at knife point while walking to Avoca at 8:15 pm. His watch, a Samsung cellphone and cash amounting to R6 650 were stolen.
A case of malicious damage to property is being investigated after a rondavel was burned to the ground in Mzomusha on February 19. The damage amounted to R1 500.

No arrests have been made for all cases.
