Pool borehole is ready

ACCORDING to DA councilor Harry Heyns, the borehole behind the Vryheid town pool, inside the park is fully operational.

Cllr Heyns confirmed that the community could expect to be fetching water there by this coming Friday.

Six full tanks have been hoisted onto stands and the water will be available daily until 6pm as of Friday.

Cllr Heyns also said that the water would be safe to drink, adding that the water at the Mason Street borehole (which was previously declared unfit to drink) has been sent for re-testing.
