School reaps multiple SEEP rewards

Phumelelani Primary received fourth position in five categories

Phumelelani Primary School in Rosedale attended the School Environmental Education Programme (SEEP) awards at Pieters in Ladysmith in January. It was organised by the Department of Agriculture and Environmental Affairs.

The event was blessed by the presence of dignitaries from various governments departments and Uthukela District Municipality. SEEP affiliate schools in the Uthukela district were invited to attend the function.

Phumelelani Primary received fourth position in the following different categories:
1. Environmental literacy award – school.
2. Creative arts award – school.
3. Umholi teachers award – Mr SL Mazibuko – Deputy Principal.
4. Umholi learner award – Musawenkosi Mpembe.
5. Participation certificate – school.

The School Management Team and School Governing Body takes pride and highly acknowledges the good work displayed by the School Environment Education Committee.
