Update: Water pump not fixed yet
An appeal is made for the community to bear with uThukela, as they are doing their best to fix the pump
uThukela District Municipality would like to inform the residents of Ezakheni and Acaciavale that Pump F, which broke last week, has not yet been fixed due to scarcity of spare parts (thrust bearings and shafts).
If you are affected by the water shortage, you are advised to store enough water for afternoon use, as uThukela are only able to pump enough water for the mornings.
The district municipality will keep the community updated, and an appeal is made to bear with them as they do their best to rectify the situation.
