‘Cut costs to pay for education’
Let the billions that are going down the drain annually go into higher education.

Sir
President Zuma and Minister Nzimande continue to have media briefings during which they pretend that they have a solution for funding higher education.
In truth, they are lacking a solution. If this Government is indeed serious about the education of our youth, it must implement the following measures:
* cut the cabinet by half,
* do away with deputy ministers altogether,
* reverse the salary increases of the President, Deputy President, Ministers, Premiers, MECs, Mayors MPs, MPLs and councillors,
* end the practice of travelling in blue-light convoys,
* require public representatives and ministers to share accommodation provided by government as former Minister Asmal and former Minister Manuel did,
* scale back on extra luxurious and very expensive vehicles,
* reduce all overseas trips for the President and everyone else by 50%,
* ensure that the President and Deputy President fly internally with the state carrier.
Let the billions that are going down the drain annually go into higher education.
