On a routine inspection in Ulundi, Vryheid SPCA staff discovered the severity of the water crisis and it’s crippling effect on the drought stricken community.

Driven by their compassion for animals in need, they set about creating a way to assist the neighbouring town.

Upon returning to Vryheid, Corné Slabbert and Rizwana Moosa discussed the urgency of the situation with committee member, Natalie Meyer and it was decided that they would return to Ulundi, bearing the precious gift of water for desperate residents of the town and their pets and livestock.
