Overgrown grass causes dangerous situation

Limit Hill residents are complaining about grass being left to grow and never being cut in the area. Not only is this an eyesore, but they say it also poses a danger in the form of snakes and criminal elements hiding in the long grass.
One resident complains that the municipality doesn’t come and clean the area around Cosmos Crescent. Mrs Lilian Assegai says, “Even when the cleaners come, they don’t cut the grass. They sit under one of the trees and take their tea break and lunch break all rolled into one. They cut a little bit of grass, then sit down again and do nothing.”
According to residents, this is a battle that has been going on for years now. They say they have confronted the area councillor and the feedback was that there is no machinery to do the job.
They have also gone to the mayor’s office, with no success.
Now people are angry and scared for their children’s and grandchildren’s lives.
Over the last few years, they have gotten used to the fact that snakes get as close to their houses as the front door. Going down the embankment, it is said that even iguanas live down there. The municipality has not commented.
