The sky is no limit for Samke

WITH BOTH beauty and brains, local model Samkelisiwe Mbatha could easily fall under what most describe as the “full package”.

This 18 year old is currently studying nursing at the Healthnicon Nursing College in Paulpietersburg.

Samkelisiwe started her modeling career when she was only in Grade 5.

” She was a very bright and confident child,” her mother Thandiwe Nkosi recalled.

The young model has taken part in numerous beauty pageants and has three consecutive years of coming first in the Umbele Wethu’s ‘Ubuhle bendalo’ category to show for it.

“I really love modelling as it has helped to groom me in so many ways as a person,” she said.

The sky is no limit for Samke as she is already set to be one of the finalists at a beauty contest that will be held at the playhouse on the 25th of May, where young models from all over South Africa will be present.

“I am hoping to reach great heights as a model, and hope to see myself on television someday,” says the go-getter.

The road to the top has proved to be very difficult for Samkelisiwe as she struggles to fund all her trips and entry fees for the competitions.
