Soulful sounds from HA!MAN and Joke Debaere

The talented duo graced the community with their performance, which left the crowd in awe, asking for more

Very few artists give so much of themselves into their performance as this pair did. On Friday, March 11 a few residents gathered at the Vercuil home in Jannie De Waal Avenue to enjoy a performance by HA!MAN (Francois Le Roux) and Joke Debaere.

HA! is a term that Francois created, for him it is a breath, or the feeling that he has each time he performs or once his creative juices start flowing.

Francois’ moving performance had the attendants hanging onto his every note. He played the cello, piano and flute, in addition to pre-mastered recordings of electronic orchestra to accompany Joke’s poetry.

Joke is a Belgian actress, writer and performing poet who joined Francois on stage in 2012. The audience enjoyed an evening with chilled vibes and friends chatting until Francois picked up his cello…

The talented duo graced the community with their performance, which left the crowd in awe, asking for more. The memorable performance took the attendees on an emotive journey.

After yet another applause, one of the attendants told Francois he played ‘soulful music’. Walking into a room with this couple performing will leave hairs on your arm standing on end in a good way.
