Ferrum High School’s Representative Council of Learners (RCL) recently launched project Can-Can, where pupils were requested to bring non-perishable food items to school.
The initiative was the brainchild of RCL chairperson, Mareli Mostert, who suggested the food be distributed among the less fortunate communities of Newcastle.
Working hand-in-hand to make a difference, the pupils managed to collect a whopping 4 357 food items.
The school is incredibly proud of RCL leaders, Mareli Mostert, Stefan Viviers and Sanelisiwe Mnguni, as well as all the pupils who played their part in giving back.
