Rampant burglaries have hit the Dundee area and police have urged business and home owners to ratchet up their security.
However, one robber took it a step further, when he had a meal at the Pensymon Street home before robbing it on April 6.
The husband and wife were in the bedroom reading when they heard footsteps coming towards the kitchen at 9:40 pm.
The husband checked and saw a man in his kitchen.
The robber was eating cake and drinking juice when he was spotted.
A fight then ensued between the two.
The man bit and scratched the homeowner on his back and managed to get away with his jacket and a necklace.
No arrests have yet been made.
