Sharing the music at workshop

Charlotte Botha delivered an interactive course on the basics of music notation, also sharing her tips on how to teach this topic

On Saturday, a group of dedicated teachers from various Estcourt schools attended a music workshop at Forderville Primary.

Charlotte Botha, assisted by a team from the Drakensberg Boys’ Choir School (DBCS), delivered an interactive course on the basics of music notation, also sharing her tips on how to teach this topic. Charlotte is an accomplished musician and conductor at the DBCS. Music is one of the topics in the Life Skills CAPS Curriculum for primary school learners.

Mrs Khosi Dube, Senior Education Specialist for Creative Arts in the Uthukela District, is passionate about ensuring that her teachers are equipped with the skills to deliver the curriculum. She hopes to co-ordinate other workshops of this kind for teachers from all her districts.
