Great start to new rugby season
Playing with 14 players for 20 minutes (yellow cards) without the Drakies scoring a single point is a tribute to the Bulldogs commitment and passion they played with

The Clover Leaf Bulldogs got their season off to a great start on Saturday, convincingly beating league champions Drakensberg by 36 to 10.
Izak Boshoff and his super-fit charges took on the burly farmers in their own backyard; not an easy task to say the least, as they have not been beaten in the last four years.
Three tries were scored by our speedy wing Senzo Shabalala, one by Paul Barnard (also wing), one by ‘cappy’ Izak Boshoff and one by Marno. Three of the six tries were converted by Duran Law.

We have tremendous respect for these boys and we know they will be back and wanting to get one over us.
Thank you to our sponsor, Clover Leaf Candles, and the whole Boardman family – your commitment and loyalty to the Bulldogs is amazing. Thank you to all the supporters, girlfriends and wives who gave up their Saturday afternoon travelling to Winterton to support our boys in what turned out to be a very memorable and historic game.
Let’s see what the next game holds!
