Gunmen open fire on provincial NFP chairman
The chairman was in his vehicle, entering his premises in the Emmaus area, when two suspects shot at him
Shots were fired at National Freedom Party (NFP) KwaZulu-Natal chairman Vikizitha Mlotshwa last night (Friday) in Bergville. It is alleged that the chairman was in his vehicle, entering his premises in the Emmaus area, when two suspects shot at him.
Five shots were fired at the bakkie he was driving, three at the windscreen and two at the driver’s side door.
48-year-old Mr Mlotshwa was lucky to escape unharmed. He is currently safe and with his family.
The vehicle was damaged in the shooting.
Bergville police are investigating a case of attempted murder. No arrests have yet been made.
