Graham Ford hosts April League

THE April League was held at Graham Ford Dam.

There were lots of small fish and the conditions were perfect with light variable winds. First place went to Zane Formo with a 2.46kg catch. Second place went to Bradley Formo with his 1.34kg catch. Bradley was also first in the junior division. The next league will be held at Bivane. Date to be confirmed.Angling enthusiasts are reminded that the Vryheid Luremasters’ 2016 Bivane Bass Challenge will take place in June. If you’re fanatical about fishing and fancy your chances of catching a big one at the challenge, diarise June 4 and 5 and join like minded anglers for a weekend of fun and fishing at Bivane Dam.

Registration will take place on June 3 from 3pm until late and fishing times will be from 7am to 5pm on June 4 and 7am to 1pm on Sunday, followed by a prizegiving ceremony on Sunday at 2pm.

Due to the drought, water levels are low. Should the water levels not exceed 30% on May 20, the competition will be cancelled. In the event of a cancellation, entry fees will be refunded in full.
