Guards retaliate after students block the road and pelt them with stones
There were dramatic scenes at the entrance to Dundee when Majuba College students protested this morning.
Students blocked the road with rocks and hurled stones at security guards.
According to witnesses, guards fired some sort of stun grenade to disperse students.
The swarm of students then ran through town, eager to escape. It was not immediately clear what the students were protesting about but sources said it was because promised Government funding had not been paid to students.
The road was soon cleared and a police patrol was seen in the area.
