Nottingham police arrested five suspects aged between 25 and 40 on Sunday, April 17 for house robbery, possession of unlicensed firearms and stolen property.

It is alleged that the members were following up on information about a house robbery case after an elderly couple was attacked and robbed on their farm last Sunday.

The members used their capabilities and skills in following up information that led to the arrest of the suspects and the recovery of stolen property as well as unlicensed firearms. The police officers recovered a .22 firearm, a double barrel shotgun, 17 live rounds of ammunition, a laptop and several items of clothing and shoes.

All the recovered items were seized from the suspects.

A case was opened at Nottingham Police Station for further investigation and the arrested suspects appeared in the Howick Magistrates Court on Monday.
